The plot here is actually rather good, and the episodic nature of the investigations she ran, with the ML being her assistant from time to time, is enjoyable and entertaining. I remember where I paused though; when she rejected the ML's confession, simply because she was sure that the ML has someone else as a white moonlight, and she felt that she was a replacement from her last life's memories. Thing is, nobody can guarantee her memories aren't just her misunderstanding something, because every time we see the ML's pov in the present, he's unabashedly remembering the MC and no one else. It's just he doesn't want to sound pathetic that he still remembers that time when they were kids and she saved him. So, this misunderstanding arc/whatever where he's trying to chase her, but keeps being rejected while she rejects him because she doesn't believe in his sincerity out of faulty knowledge? I'm just not in the mood for that level of drama. I'm too old for this shit. So, I'm moving on from this for now. Again, it's not bad at all, I just have very low tolerance for dogblood stuff, or even something that's just in the neighborhood of one.

Drop at 153, it's so slow 🦥 and the mc and ml can't seems to communicate on important stuff, which is just annoying to read.
I don't like the end, is very sad😭
The ending is a flashback to their past lives, if you actually read the novel you would know they get a happy ending.
