This is a lie. The story nothing like that. The MC here is indecisive that makes his troubles bigger than necessary. And the most annoying thing is women continuously tried getting close to him with MC is okay with that because he naively things that he helping them. This is also one of the reason, MC and FL will separate for 7years that only meet again in the last chapter. I bet the author have the idea making this a harem novel but didn't dare to do it blatantly, only in the end author insert FL self-monologue that she is okay with harem
If you want a non-harem novel with the solid couple and MC focused on his job then try "My girlfriend is too strong". I think it can match your needs.
