MC is retarded
I have a feeling that fang lang is the 4th prince and a son of emperor. Maybe Fang lang's father Fang Q-(I kinda forgot the name) is the emperor but pretend to and the reason I dont know. Its just my theory tho HAHAHAHA. I like the story.
That's why the emperor as well hiding its appearance because he looks like fang lang. And why the emperor disguise as a noble because of the core of fang lang or fang lang's life was at sake since the beginning of its birth that's why he chose to pretend as a rich noble man. It was mentioned in the novel 4th prince was dead but I think not and it is fang lang. And another evidence that I collect is that when the emperor killed Nan Yehuo, Nan Yehuo was shocked when he was killed because he had glimpsed the appearance of the emperor. Another that it was clearly the emperor favored fang lang. You remember the 3rd prince was punished because he attacked fang lang, it has never happened before so I think really that fang lng is the emperor's son. Thats why I was able to think of this because it similar to "Hail the king" novel.
This novel starts good... It hook me up with characters... His friend who played with his fringe or the genius who wants to carry the team... His father who is a man of culture... But it starts going downhill when the spirit pagoda comes... The emperor potrait was too highly represent... Mc was always in awe in front of high powers... The world is not upto liking as only mc empire matters the most... The other races were treated like evil, trash, outcast... Like how others races are all evil expect this tang empire... MC character is likeable at start but later I found he is behaving both follower and rebellious... He was always in awe in front of sects-their rules, their customs, how cruel cultivation world is... Man, I don't have any problems with cruel world... But I didn't found anything cruel representing... So far everything is going on mc favour . His cheat, his supporters... What's hardships.. they are only in name for him... The demon they were talking all time didn't make me feel a bit of danger... As empire keep potraiting like it's is strongest and best in the world... Another thing is romance thing... He have 2 girls bounding with him, but there is no sign of development in romance... Is it going to be harem or just girls fluttering around mc everytime and nothing happens... Author mentioning beauties here and there but no development between them... Mc is solely focusing on cultivation... There is not even cultivation ranks describe properly.. At start mc was funny and likeable but as the story keep progressing it becoming like genric cultivation shit... Keep cultivating, reaching higher realms, beating arrogant people here and there and leave people surprising... I want to see mc destroying the emperor family,... Becoming force to reckon with but he is like a follower of empire, everyone respects the emperor and fear him. It really leaves a bad taste reading this kind of thing... He is strong but keep behaving in boundaries... No fun at all... When he become Champion he joins lousy declined sect just because the sword he carry was came from there... I thought that's was okay but later when his team enter the sect it completely shows how bullshit was it... Mc has to fight for resources, he have to fing for honor, he have to fight for everything and keep serving to the empire at frontline to fight demons... Why join this lowly sect when other sects providing you all the resources and status you worth for... He is the champion but he have to fight everytime just to show he is worthy of it... And other thing is everyone knows he is strong champion and carry the strongest sword but still people keep challenging him and judging him. What's the point of being strong if people didn't acknowledge you status. This novel going downhill and becoming no fun to read...
should add Nationalism or Racist tag. Author keep calling people from neighboring countries aliens and constantly show how lowly they are.
Not really. This isn't urban genre, there are no Americans or Japanese here, only beastmen. So I'm cool with this since no real life country got mention.
I think there are foreign tribe, not other race like beastman, demon etc, but also other human tribe, as in chapter 71, mc got mission from system (Ding! Honor Mission activated. ‘Honor Mission: A cultivator should honor their ethnicity and fight for their own kind. Defeat the foreign examiner and defend the Tang Dynasty’s honor! Not very amazing that i would sacrifice my sleep to read but atleast its very good and is entertaining for pass time, it might be good for you all but not for me, because i like novels where mc solves his enemies quick, in this novel the third prince is still the enemy of mc 100 chapters later, i Dont like reading novels where there is a sword hanging on the neck of MC all the time, and also does no one know the name of five princess, seriously just ask a name and bond with it, stupid mc, wasting a quota
