This MC actually not smart
I'm actually disappointed 😞😞
Haysst. 😑. What with this authors and butchering the ending of good novels. Its super good on first half and went downhill on the 2nd. Plot is forced and unreasonable. MC and his family's road to ruling the world looks too easy. I kill the emperor so i replace him of sorts. How the heck did the empire stablized if that is how fragile the imperial family is. In a more realistic setting, you couldnt be slaughtering left and right cause you would force others to team up against you. In this novel, enemies are passive as f*ck. It was explained why antagonists cannot deal with mc and family first due to societal pressure, rivalries, or equal power eyeing them but when mc acts, it wont affect him at all. I actually liked it but ending sure is infuriating.
For anyone looking for a similar book, Protect our Patriarch does a much better job of sticking to the what made this story so unique in the first place. Taking a more prosaic look at what it's like to live in a world of cultivation, and following the star of a declining family rising back to prominence and prospering. It doesn't have a system, relies on clever plotting rather than freebies, and it has a slower and more reasonable pacing.

do you know another novel like "Protec out patriarc"?, it was good but too short.
U mean that novel with that always scare to his wife and every single girl in his clan peerles genius and boy only cannon fodder?
Mc was never afraid of his wife. Sure she was stronger than him but he is the decision maker of the family. Also both males and females of the family are equally talented with only difference in their number on different generations. Girls look more prominent because they are given more freedom on their personal life thus has more individualism while the boys are more expected to be responsible for the family. As for as clan building and kingdom building goes, protect our patriarch is the best novel
The story is well-written and I would really recommend reading this novel.
