I don't think it can be considered self-cest. After all, the MC is just possessing the body. Eventually, he may get his own. It's possible that the ML may even get a different body. Anyways, the MC isn't really a clone since clones don't tend to have their own soul. at the same time, yes the body is possessed, but the MC can be considered a spiritual entity I believe so it don't actually count. It's been a bit since I read it but I think that is the case.

Anyways, this story needs alot of focus reading as it really confusing when the truth was revealed on how the both of them are really fated.
