Re-reading this and thought, technically, in the novel and in the synopsis, ML is the aggressive one, meaning. He should be the top. But then, When they did that, ML was the tired one, not MC.... Is MC the freaking Top? I mean, technically, he's the older one, but he's too stable and although competent, not ambitious. It's hard to see him being the Top. But the novel says otherwise. Maybe both vers and MC is more top? Huhu
Chapters 15, 20, and 35 need to be fixed. Full of miscellaneous number, letters ans symbols. Please re translate
3 chapters in. Still holding on. The groundwork of the plot is still not laid, only the character background. There's no problems with characters yet. And the characteristics are already shown quite well. Just that.... The translation and writing is really confusing. If you read it lightly, you'll be able to read the flow, but some sentences are just really hard to understand. So I don't recommend this, but I'll continue to read and review it by the end... If I can still hold on. Lol
5 chapters in and I...'m sorry.... As a reader, I just want ummh... An mc who rises above others. MCs who confronts his enemies when he's still not even stable enough isn't my... Type. Not that i hate it. It's just that, if you want your mc to appear calm and stable, you shouldn't have done that. In the end, he is still just a wounded cub, and you should have shown us that in the first place. But you showed us that he was stable and okay, when he was actually not. So it just... Crashed. Like, it went wrong. So I would have to drop this.
Author showed us that MC was emotionally stable in the first few chap, then make him lash out, which really crashed the novel, but... I decided to give it a second chance. 30 chapters in. Turns out, it's really good, but it's a bit fantastical. ML liked him too easily. But then, I think he was just testing MC out, so I'll let it slip. Especially when their relationship is good. I like how ML is chasing MC but not too... Aggressively. But after knowing the secret, he.. let the beast escape. But still kept it leashed. The plot is also kinda good, and I love their interaction. It's just that the writing is really... Erratic.
Wanna go for a quick drive? Hop in!.... This novel is so short and the development of the relationship is quite fast. They're both already mature and stable people, so the "commitment" is kinda "slow", but the "romance" is already developed. So if you want a light-hearted read, I won't recommend this. Why? I'll tell you in the review, but before I review, just wanna say that my opinion doesn't want to offend or invalidate anyone. Everyone is free to agree, like, disagree, or hate to my review. Anyway: Plot: 8.999/10 : The plot is.. well... okay. There's no holes or anything, except for the rebirth. So the novel gives off a more of a "Imagine" vibe than "Real". It feels a bit too fantastical, except for the interaction between characters. Characters: 9/10 : This one almost made me drop this. At chapter 3, MC slightly lashed out when author showed us in the first few chap that he is calm, stable, and already planned things, so like, I was kinda shocked a bit and felt like it was not him or something. Like, the action didn't adhere to his principles and state of mind. If the author showed us that he still have some hate in the first place, then I would accept it. Aside from that, almost all characters stay true to their principles and logic. I just can't really understand how ML feel in love so easily. So I thought like, maybe he fell in love for his looks first, then he wanted to try it with a light heart, but if it fails, then it's enough for him. But ML was a bit too.... Aggressive...? Like, he was like, wholeheartedly pursuing him, so it was kinda... Doubtful. Also, MC didn't have much trauma. Like, I thought, since he fell in love, he would work his ass off or desperately try to please him. After all, doesn't he have insecurities in his past life? Like: "The warmth he gives off when he touch me is so addicting. I wouldn't ever want to lose it. So like in my past life, I'm gonna work my self to the bone and give him my wealth so he wouldn't leave me." But MC didn't have a slight psychological shadow, so it's kinda... Like... The love isn't much "intense" Theme: 9.5/10 : There isn't much "Drama", but the "Romance" is kinda okay... Well, maybe a bit good, cuz I liked it and all. The "slice of life" is good too. Since the whole novel gave of a light-hearted feel and all. Then "business" and "showbiz" is also good". Although author didn't dive in too much, it still showed some... Depth in the field. Writing: 8.5/10: Writing is really confusing, the way author wrote the dialogue is like waiting a script. Also, when MC talked to himself, I liked how author wrote it. It's kinda like how I talk to myself. Just the writing style is really confusing. Pacing: 10/10 : If you want a fast read, the pacing is perfect. Slows down at the right place, fasten at the repetitive and unimportant details, and focuses on the main topic. Ending: 8.9/10 : This is for s quick read after all, so the ending is.... Like, not much important. Like, it just talks about their everyday life. So... I feel like it's not the end yet, but this is a good way to cut off the novel. It's just that it's not the complete end yet. Haven't even reached the peak of their relationship.
